GIS laboratory with 14 user licenses of ArcGIS version 9.0 funded by the FIST Programme of the DST, Govt. of India;

  • Ministry of Environment and Forests (national biodiversity strategy and action plan), GoI

consultancy on

  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies for the government and industry
  • industrial potential survey (resource availability and analysis)
  • computer-aided cartography and survey
  • testing of soil, ground moisture and stream velocity
  • training programmes on mapping of data of the following kinds: socio-economic data, data relating to infrastructure etc, facilities available at block/thana/village levels
  • training programmes on the use of GIS/RS software with extensive hands-on practice;
  • tourism-potential surveys, tourism-related infrastructural assessment studies for the tourism industry
