G.B.N. Academy

History

Although Gopinath Bordoloi Nagar, that is, the Gauhati University Campus came into existence as back as in 1955, with residents drawn from all over India, there was no provision for secondary education to cater to the cospolitan society of the campus. in view of this a society in the name and style of gopinath Bordoloi Nagar Academic Society was formed with the academics of the University as members. The society established the Academy in 1993 in a serene, secure and immensely productive atmosphere to provide quality and updated education through English medium to suit the requirements of the intelligent young boys and girls in changing and ever advancing world situations. Keeping in the spirit of philosophy of the society, the institution has been named as G. B. N. Academy.
