Gauhati University Kokrajhar Campus

Profile

The Gauhati University: Kokrajhar Campus was established in the year 1997 and classes started from April 1998. At present the Campus offers P. G. courses in seven subjects, viz. Assamese, Bodo, Economics, English, History, Mathematics, and Political Science, with intake capacity 30 in each subject.

At present the Gauhati University: Kokrajhar Campus has a permanent complex on around 275 bighas of land at Debargaon (8 KM distance from Kokrajhar town) , which is easily accessible by bus/auto.

Kokrajhar Town is accessible from other parts of the Country by Bus or Train. The nearest Railway Station is 'Kokrajhar'.

Objective

The main objective of the Gauhati University: Kokrajhar Campus is to extend the services of Gauhati University so as to spread Higher Education among the people of Kokrajhar and its adjoining areas.
