Institute of Science and Technology, Gauhatui University is going to organize the first TECH Fest 2011 to explore the world of science and technology. “NAVANVESANA“ is the Science and Technological prospect of this institute, it also reflects the innovative and hidden talents of the students in the field of Science and Technology. One day these ideas may contribute to the field of Science and Technology for the mankind in the entire world.
A project is a collaborative enterprise, frequently involving research or design, that is carefully planned to achieve a particular aim .It requires students to undertake their own fact finding and analysis, either from research or from gathering data empirically. In this context, a project consists of a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result. Students of Institute of Science & Technology have done so many projects like Mobile Battery Charger using Solar Energy, Robotic Car, Frequency Counter, ECG and several other interesting ones. This exhibition aims to provide an opportunity for everyone who is interested in such scientific projects to interact with one another.

The Indian Army is the world's second largest standing volunteer army. With about 1,300,000 soldiers in active service and about 2,100,000 reserve troops, they are protecting the borders of India for the last 64 glorious years. From the past to the present, many arms and ammunations have been developed, new war tactics are being upgraded. Now its a chance to check their lives and new technologies closer. The first ever millitary exhibition in the premises of Gauhati University will allow people to know about the scope of Technical & Science students in the field of Indian Defence.

A cultural night will be organized on 26th and 27th Aug,2011. On the first night, there will be intra-college performance by the students of I.S.T, G.U. On the final night (second night), there will be a heart-ranging performance by the famous Nothern folk band " North East Breeze".
Its real time scenario when you will skip your heart beat with beat of music.
