Masters in Geography (M. Sc.) Programme (2 Years)
The department introduced semester system in its postgraduate programme in January 2001 to make the course more relevant, regular and useful. The present system spreading over four semesters incorporates, among others, course on some new developments in the discipline and covers total marks of 1600.
Admission Criteria
Those students having 50% marks in the undergraduate examination with major in Geography can apply for the Masters course. The admission procedure is observed strictly on merit.
Specialisation
Post graduation semester program: Cartography, Agricultural Geography, Fluvial Geomorphology, Population Geography, Regional Development and Social Geography.
Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) Programme 1 Year: Tentative
Agricultural Geography, Fluvial geography, Population geography, Regional Planning, social geography, Settlement Geography and urban geography.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) Programme (3 to 5 Years)
As per University rules.
