Laboratory Equipments

Several new equipments were added to the department due to the continuous effort made by the faculty members at collective as well as individual level. At present important analytical equipments which are available and functioning well are listed below.

• CHN Analyser (2002)
• Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (2003)
• Infrared spectrometer (2003)
• UV-visible spectrophotometer (2003)
• Fluorescence spectrophotometer (2003)

Computer Laboratory

Internet connectivity has been made available to the department in the recent past. We have a functional computer laboratory with 20 Pentium IV computers, a Server and other peripherals. Moreover, another computer laboratory has been developed for research purpose from grants received from UGC (under DRS and COSIST Scheme) and individual research grants of Dr. C. Medhi.

Departmental Library

The department has a good library with more than 300 advanced level books and a few journals. Journals available in the library are-
