Publications:

• The Department has been publishing an annual research journal in Assamese namely “Anvesan” since 1994.
• Upto 2000, the Department has published 14 (Fourteen) valuable books either in English or in Assamese. Within 2002, two souvenirs were also published.
• After 2002 (during the X plan), the Department has published the following books in Assamese
• Bhasa Jijnasa (collection of research articles on languages) ,  Ed. by Lilabati Saikia Bora and Dipti Phukan Patgiri,2002.
• Asamiya Chuti- Galpar Prabah ( Text book for the course B.A.& M.A.), 2003
• Asamiya Bhasar Upabhasa. Ed. Dipti Phukan Patgiri, 2007.

Projects Completed under the X Plan:

• D.P.Patgiri conducted a Rs.3,50,000.00 UGC Research Project (RP) on Assamese, Bengali  and Oriya Morphology: A Comparative Study’ during 2001-04.
• D.Moral, who passed away in February, 2008, conducted a Rs. 98,000,00.00 Ministry of IT, Govt. of India RP jointly with CSE Department of IIT, Guwahati on ‘Technology of NE Language of NE with Particular Reference to Assamese’ during 2001-07.
• D.Moral conducted a Rs. 75,000.00 CIIL RP on ‘Linguistic Information Service (Bodo)’ during 2004-06.
• U.C. Rabha conducted a Rs.75000.00 CIIL RP on ‘Linguistic Information Service (Rabha)’ during 2002-04.
• P. J. Mahanta conducted a Rs.1,15, 000 Dept. of culture, Govt. of India RP on ‘Sattriya Dance of Assam’ during  2002-04.
